Side note - one of the biggest lies the Mormon membership tell each other is that Mormons were rounded up and killed by the Nazi’s like the JW’s, gays, and Jews. It not only isn’t true, the opposite is true, SLC and the Nazi’s enjoyed good relations throughout the war.

The one exception was Helmuth Hubener who was excommunicated for fighting the Nazi’s and then reinstated posthumously.

At least at the international Scouting levels at which I frequently work, Helmuth Hübener is held out as a major hero. Hübener was a sixteen-year-old LDS Boy Scout (well, he had been a Boy Scout, but was required to join the Hitler Youth) arrested and executed by guillotine by the Nazis in 1942. He used a short-wave radio to listen to BBC reports, then wrote, published, and distributed his own pamphlets against fascism and informing the German people about the criminal acts of Hitler, Goebbels, and other leading Nazis.

Upon his arrest, local LDS leader Arthur Zander, a member of the Nazi party by his own free choice, immediately began excommunication proceedings and SLC approved.

However, in 1946, immediately after the end of the war. Hübener was posthumously added back to the rolls of the LDS.
