Peter Frampton’s “Go To The Sun”
Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, Connie, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.
LOL...the first thing I thought of when I saw the title was
"leave it to a gal in the sunny state of Arizona to do a "sun song."
The DC Metroland weather report
~ Today...Partly sunny with a chance of showers this morning...
Then sunny this afternoon.
Highs in the upper 50s.
Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Chance of rain 20 percent.
~ Tonight...Clear. Lows around 30.
Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.
Gusts up to 35 mph in the evening.
Sure has been windy around here.
Now we're in for a cool weekend
to go with the time change...YUCK on both accounts.
Time for me to make my rounds.
But, you stay right where you are.
Don't leave the room...I'll be bock!
Remember, the Canteen is
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

Very nice topic!
Although the sun is mentioned only once, it’s Van the Man singing it so it can’t be wrong.
Into the Mystic by Van Morrison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVAnlke_xUY
We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was one as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when the fog horn blows I want to hear it
I don’t have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And magnificently we will fold into the mystic
When that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home
And when that fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it
I don’t have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will fold into the mystic
Come on girl...
Have a great weekend!

Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a day that I could give you, I'd give to you the day just like today.
If I had a song that I could sing for you, I'd sing a song to make you feel this way.
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a tale that I could tell you, I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile.
If I had a wish that I could wish for you, I'd make a wish for sunshine for all the while.

Well, here's a surprise for everyone: this is...
...the NEW HOUSE!
This is the double-wide that I purchased last month. I've not gotten much in the way of furnishings yet, but I've been feathering the nest for the last few weeks. I still have some plumbing issues to contend with, but they will slowly be resolved.
You can see the oak hanging over the one corner, and the palm trees waving in the breeze. Nice and Florida-like. No complaints about the weather today, except for the humidity, of course.
Well, that's about it for now. More pics as they come!
