In an exclusive interview at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told The Daily Caller that he doesn’t know if his plan to promote Media Matters for America‘s new book violates the legal requirements of its 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

When TheDC asked Reid whether he will be helping Media Matters’ David Brock promote the book, “The Fox Effect,” he said he would assist Brock “any way I can. … I have the greatest respect for [him], and his co-author [Ari Rabin-Havt] worked for me for many years.” (RELATED: More stories in the investigative ‘Inside Media Matters’ series)

Reid attended the launch party for the anti-Fox News book at Media Matters’ headquarters. He told

All Marxists are exempt from those old, outdated Constitutional rules of law.

Harry Reid: “I don’t even know if I’m alive or dead”.

Living proof that zombies do exist. Known as the species “Zombies Democraticus”

Known in the Siberian eskimo Ob-Urgrian language as “shotimogu ackred”. “One who stinks”.

...asked Reid whether he thought his relationship with Media Matters and David Brock represented a violation of Media Matters’ non-profit status...he said, “I don’t know anything about that.”

Why would anyone expect anything different from an idiot who maintains that federal income taxes are voluntary.

Well look at it this way Dingy. Your relationship with the girlymen down at Meateaters Matter sure shoots a lot of holes in your status as a human being.

Harry Reid’s life is an insult to human decency, and Reid should resign immediately.

A few other gems from Dingy:

"This [Iraq] war is lost."

"Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today."

Referring to Gitmo detainees, "Can’t put them in prison unless you release them."

"Cowboy poetry festival"

And my all time favorite, "My staff tells me not to say this, but I'm going to say it anyway, in the summer because of the heat and high humidity, you could literally smell the tourists coming into the Capitol."

Why would anyone expect anything different from an idiot who maintains that federal income taxes are voluntary.

In this Sen. Reid is correct and he makes his own confession that people put in jail for not filing; e.g., Frank Turano, Irwin Schiff; etc. are put in jail illegally.

The reason the income tax is voluntary is that the so-called tax does not fit into the two great classifictions of taxation defined in our Constitution. If the income tax is a direct tax, it has to be apportioned. If the income tax is an indirect tax (how Bruashaber vs Union Pacific Railroad 240 US 1 made it constitutional), then it has to be apportioned*.

The easier way to understand about the income tax being voluntary is by using the fifth argument. That argument basically points out that when one files an income tax return, all that information can be used against you. One can use what a person puts on a tax return against one in a court of law (as Leona Hemsley found out). In such cases, the government regards Leona Hemsley as filing her tax return voluntary per one's Fifth amendment not to be a witness against oneself. Of course, the government also tries to throw people in jail for non filing so the government has been getting it both ways.

In the case you mentioned, Harry Reid admits that the government is illegally harassing people via our voluntary income tax and in another, Harry Reid openly violates the 501(c3) statute of the Internal Revenue Code to collude with Media Matters. We really have a criminal government -- especially today!

*for an explanation of the above, please see The Great Income Tax Hoax by Irwin Schiff.

Like the Bamster, Reid thinks it’s only wrong if it violates his personal values. If not, then the law is wrong and can be broken. Having the cake and eating it too is a Dem/Big Media perk.

Why isn’t anyone on the conservative side talking about the plague of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations doing politics on the public’s dime? Sorry, but having an opinion and a microphone should not qualify one for a public subsidy.

Correction: I meant to say that if the income tax is an indirect tax (Brushaber vs Union Pacific Railroad -- those two Eisner cases), then it has to be collected as an excise.

I meant to say excise instead of apportioned as a direct tax is collected.

I regret the error.
