Obamas have dinner at Washington restaurant with campaign supporters and contest winners

Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama broke bread with a group of small-dollar donors to his re-election campaign on Thursday, gathering for an intimate dinner in a popular Washington neighborhood.

Obama’s campaign staged its third “Dinner with Barack” event at Boundary Road, a restaurant along Washington’s H Street, a once riot-scarred corridor that has undergone a massive redevelopment. The campaign has offered meals with the Obamas and Vice President Joe Biden to boost contributions online in preparation for the 2012 campaign.

Let’s see....Obuma made 10 bucks in campaign contributions from 10 losers, and then he paid out $200 to buy 10 dinners.

Or am I being presumptuous in assuming that obuma paid for the food out of his pocket?

I remember when H street was a holocaust of fires started by rioters.

The District bought streetcars 25 years ago to put streetcars down around Bolling, they paid for them and didnt know what to do with them so a few years ago they were sitting and wondering what to do with these street cars that they had paid for and were still paying for the manufacturers to store and maintina. Then someone came up with the brilliant idea to put them down H street.

So that’s where they ended up.

H street is another corridor being brought back by Urban(white) pioneers.They move into these neighborhoods put bars on their windows, stay home at night ,and come out during theday to work and eat , get robbed , and then go back to their forted up homes.It is happening all around DC , the 14th. street corridor , U street, Shaw.It’s good to see DC coming back.
