Anyone who things there’s going to be a recovery in America, should go shopping. Not to buy something.
Look at (any) shelf in (any) store randomly.

100 times even.
Every. Single. Item you pick up, is made in China.
For the most part you are correct. It is shocking isn’t it? Simply unimaginable that much junk can be imported and distributed and that many dollars can leave the country. It is no wonder we are broke.
