O’Malley wouldn’t make a good dog catcher.

I live in St Mary’s County, Southern Md.
Take a look at this dumb idea.

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-02-16/news/bs-md-boating-fee-increase-20120216_1_boat-registration-boat-owners-sport-fishing-boat

Raising boat registration from $20 bucks to between $50 and $700. I will sell my boat, the hell with it, I can’t swim in the filthy waters, and crabs and oysters are in short supply , the fishing isn’t that good, and a new 40 hp Outboard motor costs $6,000 dollars. The hell with it.

Whoever thought this up should have the bill in its entirety stuffed up his ass. Sideways.

Thankfully, the Dems in the Senate have stepped in it--big time. As with the Keystone nationally, there was a mining initiative that the Gov was trying to get passed that would have brought billions to the state - tons of UNION jobs, much needed employment for a very depressed area of the state, and more manufacturing jobs to Milwaukee (lots of mining equip mfgs here).

The Democrats (and one RINO Republican) fought tooth and nail to load the bill with poison pills and raised phony "environmental" concerns. The Senate majority leader brought forth the cleaner Assembly-approved bill, added a few "concessions" to the Dems and put it up for a vote. It failed along party lines, with the final failing vote being the "maverick" RINO.

While they were high-fiving themselves, the mining company, weary of endless games and of spending money on a lost cause, shocked them back to reality when they told Wisconsin to pound sand. They are taking their investment to Michigan, who will be happy to take the jobs and the money.

Let me tell you, the private sector union guys are PISSED. I think they are finally getting it that the Dems are happy to take their union money but will sell their livelihoods down the river in a heartbeat to just to try and make Governor Walker look bad.

In a better economy they might have been able to smooth talk them into calming down, but I think they made a huge tactical error that could bring about the return of the Reagan Democrats.

Can't they appeal this guys obviously political decision? Isn't he just a county judge? For Pete’s sake Walker is governor...doesn't he have a conservative judge to reverse this hacks decision?

Sounds like contributors may be contacted for permission to transfer funds from campaign contributions to his legal defense fund:

“According to the website, officials can transfer a donation into a legal defense fund only if they have the contributor’s consent. Lobbyists can’t contribute to the funds, and the official creating the fund has to release the names of all donors who give at least $50.”
