Romney’s superpac is using the same ads we’ve seen every where else. The Newt and Nancy sitting on the couch ad and the Santorum talking about earmarks and bridge to nowhere ads. I have not seen any Newt or Santorum ads.
Here in AL someone is running ads against Newt that talk about his getting fined $300k for House ethics violations. I assume it’s a Romney PAC of some sort but maybe it’s Santorum. Whoever it is, it’s pretty disgusting, and it’s got me ready to crawl over broken glass to vote for Newt on Tuesday. The only Newt ad I’ve heard is a montage of various folksy sounding folks saying stuff. In the first half of the ad they say stuff like Mitt is a flip-flopper (”I don’t know where Romney stands”) and is out of touch (”not the type to pump his own gas”), then in the second half they praise Newt (”he’ll stand up for our beliefs”, “Newt is smart..we need smart”).
