Hoping to tap into deep distrust of Washington, Republican Rick Santorum suggested Friday that President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney share a top priority: to take away Americans' money and freedom so they can tell them how to live.
A day before Kansas Republicans weigh in on the party's presidential contest, Santorum looked to shore up support in this Midwestern state that seemed ready to give the former Pennsylvania senator yet another win and further challenge Romney's front-runner status. With sharp rhetoric, Santorum likened Romney to Obama and cast both as unacceptable for conservatives.
"We already have one president who doesn't tell the truth to the American people. We don't need another," Santorum said to cheers. "Gov. Romney reinvents himself for whatever the political occasion calls for."
Santorum has hammered Romney for a health care overhaul he signed into law as Massachusetts governor. Santorum's advisers see the issue as Romney's biggest weakness among conservatives. They make up the bulk of the Republican Party's nominating base but have so far split their votes between Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
"The worst offender is Gov. Romney. He put the template for Obamacare in place in Massachusetts," Santorum said.

Santorum took on both Romney and Gingrich.
Here’s an excerpt below:
“We feel very confident that we can win Kansas on Saturday and come into Alabama and Mississippi and this race should come down to two people,” Santorum told reporters.
And as the race turned South, the Santorum campaign on Friday hammered Gingrich on immigration, an issue likely to play prominently among Southern conservatives. Santorum turned to a key supporter and immigration hawk, former Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., to criticize Gingrich for supporting legislation that would, among other things, allow some children of illegal immigrants to become citizens.
“This is not just an immigration issue but a national security issue and Newt Gingrich fails our nation on both counts,” Tancredo said, charging that Gingrich would “adopt the policies of the left.”
Obama and Romney are both bankster sock puppets. They wear Obama on their left hand and Romney on their right.
Rick is Green. Social issues matter more than just you and me.
Good Ol' See-BS at it again?
Could it be total distrust of the lying SOB regime?
NAH!!
I wonder what changed? Personally I never supported Mitt Romney, freerepublic didn’t either. I supported either of the pro-life Christians over the pro-abortion Mormon Bishop.
I know that Santorum was anti-Reagan, and called his supporters the right-wing “fringe”, but does he have to do this Romney/Reagan stuff?
Ex-Senator Santorum- “In a few short days, Republicans from across this country will decide more than their party’s nominee. They will decide the very future of our party and the conservative coalition that Ronald Reagan built.
Conservatives can no longer afford to stand on the sidelines in this election, and Governor Romney is the candidate who will stand up for the conservative principles that we hold dear,” said Senator Santorum.
“Governor Romney has a deep understanding of the important issues confronting our country today, and he is the clear conservative candidate that can go into the general election with a united Republican party.”
You are a professional F up aren't you.

Trueman was the real Conservative?
BTW, he is sleeping with someone behind his wifes backs while he prattles on with this Reagan bashing.
Newt Gingrich carried the Reagan revolution to the legislative branch, and had the Reagan torch passed to him.
Gingrich criticized Reagan in the effort to MOVE HIM TO THE RIGHT ! Santorum’s problem was that he felt Reagan was TOO right wing already, that his supporters were the “fringe”
Is that an anti-Catholic dig, because Gingrich has become a Catholic?
Santorum was a lifelong pro-abortion Catholic until he decided to enter politics.
SANTORUM-(not Romney) “I was basically pro-choice all my life, until I ran for Congress”.
LOL. Yeah right. Whatever.

In all seriousness, I recommend that every Gingrich supporter watch that 1986 video you posted in post 9, I went back into the military because of Reagan, and was in when a young, hot, Gingrich was making this speech.
This is the video you posted in post 9.

Two of those were unrelated to anything, and the third one was about Newt being pro-life, and saying that the Pro-Life platform would not change for the party, and how pro-life he is.
In 1991, Newt could not have foreseen that Specter and Santorum would eventually be trying to change the Republican party platform to pro-abortion, and driving out the pro-life movement to oblivion, and destruction, party-less.
I watched all four of your videos and even commented on two of them, (I ignored the music one, and the 21 second useless clip from a Gingrich CPAC speech complimenting Mitt and business) watch one of mine of Santorum.
Here is video of Senator Santorum on stage with Arlen Specter, as Specter is announcing his Presidential run, based on making the GOP a pro-abortion party, Rick Santorum endorsed him, and campaigned for him and his platform.

Transcript Highlights:
Santorum is seen nodding and applauding at Specters side:
3:46 mark: In 1996, I intend to win the other house the White House with ten commitments to America including a womans right to choose
13:22 mark: Even though we have this historic opportunity for these achievements, there are those in our party who would lead us down a different path and squander this unique moment in our nations history by using our political capital to pursue a radical social agenda that would end a womans right to choose
13:48 mark: When Pat Robertson says there is no constitutional doctrine of separation between Church and State, I say he is wrong
14:31 mark: When Ralph Reed says a pro-choice Republican isnt qualified to be our President, I say the Republican Party will not be intimidated or blackmailed by those kinds of threats.I, and millions of other pro-choice Republicans, will not be disenfranchised and made second class citizens.
15:33 mark: it is not Christian, or religious, or Judeo-Christian to bring God into politics; or to advocate intolerance and promote exclusion.
15:54 mark: I want to take abortion out of politics. I want to keep the Republican Party focused on the vital economic and foreign policy issues and leave moral issues such as abortion to the conscience of the individual. I believe abortion is an issue to be decided by women
16:40 mark: I pledge to lead the fight to strip the strident anti-choice language from the Republican National platform
Great map!
Hey! Your map omits Guam!
Correction:
My bad. Your map doesn’t “omit” Guam. It just neglects to color it “Romney red.”
I have stayed out of the candidate bashing but today, on this one thread I’m going to comment. What you said... a perfect example of why I cannot stand Santorum. Santorum doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of being the Marxist Kenyan. None, zero, zip, nada. I’m a conservative and I don’t even like him. Does anyone seriously think he can fire up the base? Take the independent vote? Take moderate democrats? Ummm no and he would assuredly mean 4 more years of Barry.
I wanted Sarah, she chose not to run. I hoped Perry would surge, even thought his immigration stance bothered me, it never happened so I jumped on the Cain train for a while. As the debates progressed it was clear to me that Newt is the one the deserves to be president and will make the changes needed. Romney is obamalite and a complete sissy.
That said.... NONE of the 3 R candidates are a even 1/100th as bad as the POS that it’s the WH now. None of them are evil Marxists. This November I will vote for whoever has an R beside their name. I will not sit home.
