Her daddy's been away for years, serving two combat tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.
He's getting ready to go Afghanistan again soon, but 10-year-old Belle Worbington got to spend Friday at work with him at Camp Pendleton.
"It's sad when he's gone, but I know he's doing something good," said Belle, a fourth-grader at Escondido's Reidy Creek Elementary School.
Several dozen Marine spouses and children spent much of Friday taking part in exercises that their military parents routinely perform, including calisthenics, shooting and working with amphibious assault vehicles.

I think this is a neat idea.
These children are learning about the safe handling of guns and they will have a healthy respect for weapons and they are no longer a curiosity.....
Love the pictures with the article and the libs comments are to be expected.....ignorant fools they are.....

I don’t trust the Left either. There’s a lot praise for the military, but all of their policies indicate contempt. I get the feeling that they are trying to lock people and their children into their jobs. Warriors beget warriors, workers beget workers, the elite beget the elite. 3/4 pics are of girls BTW, so I don’t think they are targeting just men. What they want to do, IMHO, is to turn the military into another jobs program, just like they have in the socialist European nations.
You're right. There also might be some darker motives involved - yet to be seen.
