Yep. Romney is the second worst possible choice for our White House - the worst is already there. I have over the past year expressed a willingness to support Palin, Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Fred Thompson, DeMint, Gingrich, Santorum, and others for the nomination, so I'm very obviously not set on one choice. Of the remaining candidates, Newt is by far my top choice. I'm not sure Ron Paul is sane, but I would prefer him over Romney. And if Romney gets the nomination, I'll vote for the most conservative candidate in every other national race - we will need a congress that will restrain the leftist instincts of either Romney or Obama - but I will not vote for Romney.
So you're right. I'm endorsing personal responsibility in politicians, but definitely not Romney.
