When my daughter was 11 I took her on a father-daughter hunt on a 5000 acre private hunting club. A group of 6 does came within shooting range. She shot the first one and the group scattered, but they were back within a minute. She shot a second, then a third and they still didn’t take off. We could have killed them all but it didn’t even seem sporting.
Bottom line was the noise didn’t seem to bother them. A suppressor wouldn’t have made a bit of difference.
