"But the fact is, Romney is probably the weakest Republican front-runner since Leonard Wood in 1920, and Wood lost on the 10th ballot. He's not a very strong front-runner, and almost all conservatives are opposed to him, which is the base of the party. And I think we are as likely to see, after the last primary in June, a 60-day conversation about what's going to happen, as we are to see Romney nominated!"
said Newt Gingrich to Chris Wallace...LOL.

I am not a Romney supporter (I want Newt), but logic says when you call the person beating you decisively “weak” and “unable to close the deal”, you are demeaning your own efforts. Stick to your principles and arguments. It's your only chance at this point.

Yes indeed, no one wants Romney but the elites.

The fact is that the conservative vote is split and Romney, despite that, and all his money, is barely winning.

Lynn, what most don’t understand is that the only states Romney has won delegates in, are all blue states that won’t vote Republican in a November election. That is why, I believe, Gingrich and Santorum both say Romney is weak. Do you see it now?
Romney won’t be able to win an election without the support of the conservative base. He governed Massachusetts just like a liberal Democrat. Why should we nominate him?

He's in my state, Mississippi, where Romney has bought the airwaves and is campaigning on lies and deceit in the heart of the deep South. He has to call him weak, because he is with us conservatives. Newt Gingrich is primarily running his own postitive campaign but he answered Chris Wallace's question with honesty and a historical account included.

Thanks so much for sharing that.
always makes me feel good inside to hear Newt speak of our ideals in a positive way. Our country is missing that.

It is a disturbing issue that we cannot ignore.
The base doesn’t trust Romney.

Please refrain from posting any extreme close-ups of geritol stains and age-spotted retreads. Thanks!

May you live long enough and in good enough health to have liver spots and to need Geritol.
However, if you expect that you will not get old, God rest your soul.
