[Art.] While the self-proclaimed "fiscal" or "social" conservative might try to isolate a certain set of issues — those they claim as "their own" — into a distinct block, and then advance these as the "most important" (often to the point of becoming "single issue" voters), the movement conservative understands that all of these issues are inseparable, and that you can't deal in one area without it affecting others. (Emphasis added.)

The writer needs to dash off a quick note to Newt about this. He's been willing to throw certain "social conservative" (so-called) issues over the side in an effort to palliate his backer(s) and appease the RiNO GOP-E.

Exhibit A: Newt's willingness to allow Mexican illegals to slide into citizenship and, with their social history of rock-ribbed labor-syndicalist Socialism, vote 70% straight-ticket Democrat, which is an existential, not a "social-conservative", issue for the Republican Party.

Put Texas in the safely-Democratic column like the Dems did in California by clogging the polling places with Mexican votes (sometimes cast by illegals, as was asserted in Loretta Sanchez's two wins over Bob Dornan in Orange County, formerly a safe GOP seat), and you can kiss the White House goodbye for the next 200 years.

“Exhibit A: Newt’s willingness to allow Mexican illegals to slide into citizenship...”

Shame on you. This is false.

There is NO citizenship for illegals in Newt’s plan. He would allow some to stay who have been here for a generation or more , but they DO NOT have a path to citizenship. There is plenty to criticize if you must, but please stick to the FACTS.
