Well, one this is becoming more clear by the day, obama was NOT lying about HIS predictions for gasoline. Even if Newt is off by a whole dollar, still beats anything obama is intending to do...

All of those years of screaming “EVERYTHING IS BUSH’S FAULT!!!” is coming back to haunt the Democrats now.

They convinced the sheeple that Bush/Cheney controlled oil prices, and Obama promised to lower them.

Now, they can’t talk them down, and the sheeple are paying MORE for gas, than they did under Bush.

The Magic Sqwauking Box in the living room can convince a person of many things, but it can’t convince you that what you are paying out of your own wallet isn’t real.

The date on that quote was actually January 17, 2008. One of those things he said openly while trying to secure the nomination from the lefty base and tried to hide later.

“Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” — Barack Obama, January 17, 2008, San Francisco Chronicle

It didn’t take us long to find Barack Obama’s original quote, which came from a videotaped interview he did with the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board very early in the presidential campaign, January 2008.

“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket,” Obama told the Chronicle . “Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
