Okay, let's create a list of things requiring photo ID. A check to purchase goods at the grocery store. Playing Little League. Being towed by AutoClub when car breaks down. Attending WonderCon in Anaheim this weekend - they check to make sure you are the person who bought the ticket online). Getting attendee badges at most conventions. Getting through airport security. Renting a car. Getting a home loan. Renting a storage space. Entering any courthouse. Entering a military base. Going to a doctor appointment - you need insurance card and photo ID.

Not going to show an ID for anything anymore.

It disproportionally harms me and interferes with my rights.

Why should I have to show ID to buy a gun? It’s my second amendment right and it is being interfered with which is unconstituional?

Why should I show an ID for health care? It interferes and harms my right to health care, which was provided to me by the democrat party of america.

Not gonna show an ID to the cops either. Intereferes with my right to privacy provided to me by the US supreme dorks.

Courthouses are an exception ~ if you have no ID and commit a crime you may end up with a PERSONAL ESCORT into the courthouse. Otherwise you’d need both a photo ID and pass through a metal detector!

I appreciate your rant but I guess you didn’t get the point of this thread (unless you forgot the sarcasm note).

Democrats argue that there is no reason to discriminate against those without photo ID's given that there is no evidence of voter fraud.

Yet how do we know there is no voter fraud without requiring ID?

Answer: we don't.

Photo IDs are required all day long in the normal course of business. But not to protect the sanctity of the franchise. Unbelievable.

I understand the point of the thread, and I’m sort of being sarcastic, but actually not really.

If hispanics don’t have to show ID to vote because it disproprotionally harms them, then no one should have to show ID for anything ever, including in Wisconsin.

Unless of course Mr. Holder is claiming that hispanics are disproportionally better than everyone else, which I’m sure he isn’t.

I understand. Although a gun owner and supporter of the 2nd Amendment, I don’t think I want anyone buying a gun who cannot produce an photo ID (not a Mexican matricular).

Voting in Mexico requires an ID with no exceptions. Vote fraud is considered a serious crime in Mexico.

Oh, I can produce one, I’m just not going to, because doing so disproportionally harms with my second amendment right to bear arms.

Is the right to vote somehow greater than my right to bear arms, or are we a society that practices equal rights for equal people as oposed to a society that practices unequal rights for unequal people?

I think we need to be very careful how we proceed from this point on in America, I mean, especially considering our blatant race monger federal government which rountinely pits one group of people against another via special rights in order to benefit itself.

A photo ID is needed to buy liquor and beer and to get your EBT card for food stamps so I doubt any of the poor and minorities the Democrats are so concerned about will be disenfranchised by requiring a photo ID to vote.
