Not true. A Christian should be able to say the Nicene Creed with conviction — it is the oldest recorded act of faith of Christianity.
That modern-day Christians have their doubts about the Creed is not the fault of the original author. For 1200 years, this document was the only acceptable guideline in the Christian world.
