The Democrat would have held a press conference to show off his spanking new Medicare card!

I doubt that, no one that has another option will ever use medicare. Unless you are independently wealthy or a politician, you really don't have a choice. Even a procedure such as a couple stents can run a hundred thousand dollars. Most working class stiffs know that you really can't amass enough money to take care of those kinds of problems.

Thanks for your link to "The Fund for Personal Liberty" in post # 16. Interesting that former GOP House leader Dick Armey, interviewed in two videos there, is a plaintiff in the suit challenging the bureaucratic coupling of Medicare to Social Security and the resultant deprivation of freedom of healthcare choice for many citizens. I had not known about that case.

Seems as if a W appointed, statist female federal district judge unfortunately dismissed that suit (don't know what her thinking was), and the case is now in Circuit Court. Armey thinks it will wind up in the SCOTUS.

Unless I missed something, Armey was remiss in not mentioning that Congress can undo that policy by specific legislation.

...no onethat has another option will ever use Medicare.

Interesting question: Can a congressman, for example, who is over 65 be both on Medicare and the de luxe congressional health care plan at the same time?

ALL congress critters and the Pres and VP should pay into SS, Medicare, and pay health care premiums to business like BC/BS.

WE the TAX SLAVES should not have to pay for Platinum life time health care for them. weiner is a prime example, 1 year and he gets $35K and life time Platinum health care, while 20 year Military Vets get RATIONED MEDICARE, AND TRICARE-LIVE if they are over 65 and not even half the retirement amount.

Romney's out of touch with the average American senior because he doesn't need Medicare and chooses not to enroll?

How about, maybe he's trying to save Medicare dollars for those average American seniors.

It's not as if his experience as a Medicare patient would be comparable to the average American senrior.

“Romney’s out of touch with the average American senior because he doesn’t need Medicare and chooses not to enroll?”

Not quite. the point is he’s another pampered poodle politician creating a mess for us to have to live in and with ...while never having to experience the consequences of his decision-making.

Flyover Country has to live with this cr$& all the time..day in and day out.
