Rep. Bob Turner announces NY US Senate run

ALBANY – Rep. Bob Turner made his run for the US Senate official today. He said he’ll seek both the Republican and Conservative nominations to challenge US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). But State Conservative Party Chairman Michael Long said lawyer Wendy Long – who’s also seeking the GOP nod – “has really soaked up enthusiastically the support of my leaders up and down. “I don’t see this thing turning around,” he added. “I think Bob got into this too late.” Turner had planned to seek re-election to the Queens-Brooklyn seat of disgraced former Rep. Anthony Wiener, which he won in a special election last September.

I think Turner’s career would have been better served getting re-elected in a non-special election to prove that he’s legit. However, in reality he probably can’t get re-elected. Though 2012, with Israel under seige and Turner a proven ally, is a good a year for him as any for this CD.

Yep. I've never seen a member of the Senate so obviously schooled by another sitting Senator. Everything that comes out of her perky, little mouth is obviously scripted in Schumer's office.

I live in Turner’s district and voted enthusiastically for him in the post-Weiner special election. I am delighted to have a more conservative alternative to the shameless libtard Schumer and his mini-me rubber stamp Gillibrand. I really didn’t feel as though I had any political representation having Gillibrand brainless libtardette, Schumer conniving libtard and the freakoid Weiner as my only political outlets. I would welcome having Turner as a Senator instead of Fluffhead Gillibrand. She has simply looked to Schumer for all her cues and followed suit. Some representation!

It’s an uphill fight but he’s the most credible candidate we could muster.

Chuck Poomer was elected to the Senate from Turner’s House seat.

Meanwhile the chairman of the NY Conservative party wants to give the Conservative ballot line to some lady with the same name as him (though she’s not related) , because he is a fool of the highest order and an earth pimp who uses his party as a personal patronage device.
