No guard rail, 90 degree concrete abutment facing traffic - it's a mystery this exact same thing didn't happen in this exact same place years ago.
At the press conference, they said the bus was travelling at the proper speed, and that all of the passengers were buckled in with seat belts. Apparently the road bends at this point, and the right front tire hit the curb and jumped it. The driver lost control at the jump, and continued straight where the road turned.
Prayers for everyone involved. This is just horrible.
