There is no crime of “high treason.” Not in the USA.
Treason is the only crime defined in the Constitution.
“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”
Interestingly, numerous states used to prosecute for treason against the State. That’s what John Brown was hanged for.
No such thing under US law as "High Treason". That term applied (in the past) in Britain simply because the crime of a wife killing her husband, or an indentured servant killing his/her master was considered "Petit Treason".
The term is no longer applicable anywhere, and should be dropped. There is only Treason, which is clearly defined in the US Constitution...

Many so-called “good men” have intentionally chosen to do nothing in the past.
The Obama phenomenon did not just appear suddenly and overnight but has been brewing in past administrations and in the minds of congresscritters on either side of the political aisle.
This conspiracy will have to remain hidden from the public view or the careers of too many politicians will be stained by it.
