I have to tweak, just a little bit, this Hollywood Reporter article written by Paul Bond -- one of the good guys. The repeated use of the word "allegedly" in the face of, uhm, video makes me laugh.
But not as hard as I'm laughing at Chris Rock, who is every inch the badass -- you know, as long as his bodyguards and lawyers are around.
Yes, Mr. 1% -- who, uhm, "allegedly" attacked a petite camerawoman as opposed to the actual MAN who asked him an inconvenient question, is now lawyering up instead of handling this like an adult:
Rock allegedly reacted to the man by snatching away his video camera, which was being operated by a woman, and hurling it across the room. Then he supposedly challenged the man to a fight.
What Rock didn’t know at the time was that the man, Jason Mattera, was writing a book on Hollywood hypocrisy, and Rock shouting, “Let’s throw down!” while standing behind a couple of burley bodyguards fit in perfectly with the author’s narrative of celebrities whose deeds don't match their rhetoric.
Rock probably also didn’t realize that video of the encounter would be used to market the book, and that effort began Wednesday. Mattera, in fact, has video of several “A-list” celebrities, he told The Hollywood Reporter, and he’ll be rolling clips out piecemeal over several weeks.
“I confront them on statements they have made in the past that haven’t been challenged, or on the hypocrisy that I discuss in the book,” Mattera said. ...

Well, I don’t blame him for lawyering up, but he still is a petulant jerk.
If Cris Rock didn’t use so much profanity and degrading remarks during his stint, he’d just be another home boy on the curb drinking 45s and bitching about the crackers.
Okay, I’m ducking even though I’m on the fence here.. I don’t blame celebrities when they get set up by sneaky, self-interested ‘gotcha journalists’ with video cams just waiting for that ‘maximum publicity’ moment for a g-damn book. I’m tired of 0’Really pushing his ‘Killing Lincoln’ book too.
We’ve always known Rock was just a race-quota coward. Kudos to Jason Mattera for smoking him out on video. That’s the way to deal with the stealth socialist haters. May the spirit of Breitbart live on!

Oprah Winfrey is more powerful than President Obama, at least according to comedian Chris Rock.
Rock was one of several celebrities honoring Winfrey at the 33rd annual Kennedy Center Honors Sunday night.
Halfway through his monologue about the legendary talk show host, Rock looked up to the presidential box where the honorees were sitting: “It’s amazing to look up and see the most important person in the world and — next to her — Barack Obama,” he said to much laughter from the audience.
“He didn’t get her a job. She got him a job,” he added. Then he joked about Winfrey’s reputation as a power broker: “Oprah Winfrey is so powerful she almost made Sarah Palin read a book.”
I’m sick of celebrities insulting me and never being called on it by the MSM. If it takes a guy hocking a book to expose these idiots, so be it.
If you meet Aaron Sorkin now, and want the conversation to remain light and amusing - don’t bring up politics.
“I have a big problem with people who glamorize dumbness and demonize education and intellect,” Sorkin said. “And I’m giving a pretty good description of Sarah Palin right now.”
He seems to be having a second career these days going after Palin. In an essay for the Huffington Post he called her a “witless bully.”
“I think that we have big problems right now,” Sorkin said. “And Sarah Palin? She needs a therapist, okay? We need the smartest guys, the best Ph.D.s around to be solving these problems. I don’t have any patience for the glamorization of dumbness.”

And then, in Hollywood, Sorkin became a big-deal screenwriter, producer . . . and crackhead.
“You got hooked on crack?” Stahl said.
“I tried it once, and that’s all that you have to do,” he said. “I should have died several times.”
He was on crack when he wrote both “Sportsnight” and “The West Wing.”
After a stint at the Hazelden Rehab Clinic, he stayed clean for a while. But in 2001, he was caught at an airport in California with drug paraphernalia and arrested.

To promote his new movie, “The Social Network,” screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin appeared on the first episode of CNN’s “Parker Spitzer” Monday night. In the process, he made some pretty harsh political statements, including calling Sarah Palin an “idiot.”
Sorkin went on to say that the former Alaska governor is a “remarkably, stunningly, jaw-droppingly incompetent and mean woman.”
(Hmm. Is this the way to promote a movie?)

Sorkin calling her a witless bully, comparing her to Michael Vick and saying she killed the animal for political gain, on the other hand, has her all fired up.
Sarah Palin responded to Sorkin’s statement, telling Roberts that “We eat, therefore we hunt - and I am thankful that I get to feed my kids organic food.”
“He’s got some of those high powered rifles in some of his movies and TV shows though. I think those are aimed at human beings. Mine is aimed at dinner.”
