Understanding Gov't doesn't necessarily mean having public cameras in every office. Why the SC and not others? If you opened that door, taxpayer cost to get coverage on favored Gov't agencies would be astronomical.

Your state court machinations probably aren't a circus because they don't have impact on 300 plus million citizens (not to mention foreign interests).

If there were cameras in the SC there would be so much special interest money vying to get the upper hand in manipulating public pressure you would never have trust in the SC again. Live TV cameras would be stalking the justices night and day, their families would become national celebrities, etc. etc. etc.

Better to leave the circus out of what is considered one of the most sober of Gov't offices...and for good reason. Try to put the 24/7 cameras in the Oval Office instead.
