Syrian television reported that cars packed with explosives had targeted an intelligence centre and a police headquarters at 7.30 am (01.30 am EDT), blowing the front off one building and sending debris and shattered glass flying through the streets.
Gruesome images from the sites showed what appeared to be smoldering bodies in two separate vehicles, a wrecked minivan smeared with blood, and severed limbs collected in sacks.
At least 27 people were killed and 97 were wounded, another television channel said, quoting Health Minister Wael al-Halki

hmm....
I’m becoming numb to Muslim on Muslim violence. I know I should be appalled by this but it happens so often. Maybe I’m just uninformed but it’s hard to think of a time in history when they were able to live in peace except for those times when they were completely subjected to the rule of others. I suppose when they fight with each other it at least makes it more difficult for them to fight with others.
You can think of it as just ‘muslim on muslim’, but these car bombings sound like alQaeda, and it’s important to at least keep abreast of what they’re up to.
Oh, those fun-loving moozlums. Remember, all cultures are equal.

They aren’t fighting for democracy I can assure you.
Just another normal day in the land of the religion of peace.
I bet that hurt!
Getting pretty bold over there. Syria may fall apart without The One’s intervention.
Change in Syria is coming, says ex-Arab League chief
CAIRO Former Arab League Chief Amr Moussa, a leading candidate in Egypts presidential elections, says Syrian regime change is inevitable, but hopes it wont be Libya-style where NATO strikes helped topple the regime.
Moussa told Associated Press on Saturday that what is happening in Syria now is part of history in making, as the whole region is changing drastically.
Moussa says it is a matter of time for the Syrian regime to fall because its the people who always have the final word.
Under Moussa, who served for a decade as the Arab Leagues chief, the 22-member organization called on the world community to enforce a no-fly zone over Libya and acquiesced to the NATO operation that succeeded in helping the rebels overthrow Muammar Gaddafi.
