Same here Fiji. But to me chips come in big bag from Frito Lay. To them chips come in little boxes at McDonalds and Burger King.

I've heard they have McDonalds, but do they have Burger King over there? In the 1960's, there was a chain of hamburger joints in England called Wimpy--and the name was appropriate for the burgers they served. In those days, to find a real American hamburger in Europe, one had to go to a US military base.

We had a Wimpy in Colorado for years. Remember the Popeye character that was always eating hamburgers?

Yes we do. A lot of them. BK was briefly owned by the British.

Wimpy still exist.

Oi.

There is nothing wrong with Wimpy hamburgers. I grew up with them in the 70’s/80’s and still much prefer them to the insipid McDonald hamburger. BK’s are quite nice though.

No, they arent big, but some huge burger wouldnt have appealed to the British public when Wimpy started in the mid 1950’s. We love our food, but we dont eat and dont need the huge portions Americans eat (and we see the result...).
Unlike Americans we dont equate size to quality.

I had two Wimpy hamburgers and chips last week and it was as delicious as always.
