On his Friday program, Rush Limbaugh commented on this:

I'm just telling what's out there. That's the reason Obama's headed in there (NC) every other day. That's why the convention is there. They won it in '08 but they're having problems now. And furthermore, the theory goes that this election is going to turn on 45,000 people in the Raleigh-Durham what is called The Triangle Area. These 45,000 people are upper middle-class families that make $75,000 a year, and they are apolitical. They are not committed Democrats or Republicans. But the way they line up is how this election is going to turn out.

Theory: Election Hinges on North Carolina

That’s a little scary for me. I’ll stick with the Conventional Wisdom that whoever wins 2 of these 3 States: Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida, wins the White House. Oh, by the way, Santorum is from PA and Rubio is from FL...... just sayin;

Interesting analysis, NYer. Is this why obama made these statements, because he thinks it will help him in NC? obama Opposes North Carolina Same Sex Marriage Ban

Thomas Sowell’s most recent column points out that there’s no benefit to comparing Obama to any potential Republican candidate now. When it’s time for the only poll that counts, in November, we want the candidate who will be most different from the incumbent.

Upper middle class? WTH? $1442.30 a week is upper middle class now? Danged, when I was still running my tiny business I was upper crust and didn’t even know it, I wonder why I didn’t buy a yacht.
