Hume rips Obama documentary: 'Winners take responsibility. Losers blame others' (Video)

Last week the Obama campaign released a 17-minute documentary intended to highlight the accomplishments of President Barack Obama’s term to date. The film, narrated by Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, has been criticized for being backwards-looking instead of focusing on the future, as some pundits suggest campaigns should.

However, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said the film’s biggest problem was not dwelling on the past, but dwelling on who to blame for the past.

“And he said he would not dwell on blame,” Hume said on Sunday’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday.” “I am surprised Tom Hanks could get that line out without coughing. This president is notable — and I mean look, politicians do this, this is not the biggest crime that ever happened — but this president has been notable … for blaming others. For the longest time, of course, it was former President [George W.] Bush who got all of the blame for the problems.”

The propaganda film is more like an Obama “docu-cartoon”...

Tom Hanks is a typical Hollywood hypocritical schmuck. I haven’t had much good though about him after he led the Pledge of Allegiance during the televised program—when many Hollywood stars donated appearances on a telethon instead of donating money—during 9-11 days. He led the Pledge, leaving out the words Under God. America’s favorite Army veteran stepped all over the National heritage. Give him his due for having been a combat engineer. Remember his denigration of America.

True and the absence of any of the usual subconscious fidgets when lying is what should concern us most - it means that he lacks remorse and is a sociopath at best to say nothing of the programming he has willingly embraced.

His most annoying trait - and there are many - is his tendency to ‘street up’ his speech patterns when in full patronize-the-audience mode. Have you noticed the delighted surprise in his voice when one of his wiseass lines actually gets a chuckle? He immediately goes off script and we are left to watch the nation’s chief executive shuck and jive about drilling for oil on the National Mall or in your front yard.

Tom Hanks who? I cannot even fathom watching this load of load, much less give it any value to anyone but 21st century robots who’ll drool and swoon till they crap themselves. Total excrement is too kind, the other socialist too!

We need stickers to put over those pix of Obama and
an oil well that say.

If it weren’t for me, there would be 4 more wells
in this picture.

Turn his propaganda AROUND!

According to a couple of different sources, Hanks served in the United States Army, 21 Bravo (Combat Engineer).

His Wiki bio doesn't mention anything about his being in the Army.

I’m not convinced. He was born in 1956. That puts him graduating from high school in 1974. He went to college for 4 years and was acting by 1978. I don’t see where he had time to squeeze the army in there anywhere. Plus, it’s not mentioned in any of his biographies or IMDB.

I think I remember him saying that he DIDN’T serve in the military in his speech at the dedication of the WWII Museum in New Orleans. (It’s a great place, by the way.)

You may well be right. It may be that some lib apologist made up some words to stick in some pseudo-biographies. Anyway, I’m not concerned enough about Tom Hanks to spend time researching him. For now, the official version I guess is that he didn’t. Take care.
