To: Cincinatus' Wife

I don’t think it is a slam. Newt is not warm and squishy or a shuckster. The slam is more on the shallow voters who want a president who makes them feel good. Newt comes across as an intellectual. I love that. I loved that about Dick Cheney.

A ticket for the ages. Too bad they’re not so inclined and a bit too elderly now, but they would take names and kick @ss.

Dick Cheney was my first choice for President in 1988, he was mentioned frequently early but did not run. I voted for my second choice in the Tennessee primary, Jack Kemp. I voted absentee two weeks before the primary and Kemp had been eliminated before the Tennessee primary date.
