The Chinese have nothing to compete with the A380 or A330 and won't for at least a couple of decades. They're more likely to build a cheaper A320/737 competitor for domestic markets and export to countries that are more price sensitive.

Correct. They are currently building a plane (C919) to compete with the A320/B737 and should enter into service about 2017. However, no western airline has bought it yet. It could suffer the same fate as the Tupolevs did in Russian but we will see.
