I agree with them wholeheartedly. If you didn’t have the balls to do the hard work stay the hell out of the pool.

Well here’s your guy Santorum’s answer when asked a very significant question....

“What do you see as the biggest Constitutional failure of the Obama administration?”

It took Newt to bail him out as he passed it to him.... while scratching his head from the get go trying to come up with an answer. Dah hardly says enough. And people expect he’ll be able to even debate Obama let alone win????

I was raised on “Can’t never could”.
Imho, the thing that has hurt Newt the most in this primary has been people accepting & echoing the meme that “Newt can’t win the nomination” or against 0. That was put out there *day one* by the GOPe.
(They also put out the opposite that Mittens not only could, but would)

I hope everyone looks hard at your list again, dt57. Newt Gingrich is the *only* one of our candidates who has the intellect, the experience and the *guts* to take Obama down in the Fall. His record proves he’s *done* it.
All of this “ex wives, Nancy Pelonsky, etc” is just Saul Alinsky style fluff- trumped up to *mean something* when it either means nothing or is parallel to something done by one of the other candidates that *is* real & is much more damning.
If we want WIN in November & turn this country around, it is Newt.

And I wonder. We all know what Romney is. What would it say about Rick if he were willing to accept vp to Romney?
I’m really getting sick of the double standard.
just my .02

Good whine...but insignificant. We're called to make judgments concerning our elected officials and how we see them thru the lens of what we understand this country needs in order to survive the peril it's in. And that means vetting and determining who best, not second best, but best will serve the needs of our great nation.

There is only one candidate who meets the qualifications of truning this ship around......and that is what is the priority. That after beating out Obama.

Rick Santorum neither has the ability nor the vision as to how to accomplish those feats....he's simply riding the wave as he always said he does. No planning just riding on the works of others.

And that is why he is not the man for the position of running this country.....there will be no riding in the office of the Presidency.....it's a leadership position of which Santorum lacks the ability to perform.

I have no doubt if per chance Santorum makes it to the White house he will be passing the decision making to others and ride whatever wave others will create for him...it's his history and he has nothing of his own but his social stances.......that is not enough to run a country.

OK, so let’s see you step up and go for the nomination. Put your actions where your mouth is. Its easy to sit back and bitch about how bad other people are, especially when you don’t put yourself out on the line. For all you sideliners out there saying, “what horrible choices”, okay, put your choice up there, and convince enough people to support them and win the nomination. Or do it yourself.

I would support Ryan in a heartbeat, fully.

So let us all get down on our knees and pray and pray! We get more than 40 days here comparing to Nineveh!

More than enough time.

If Ryan is your guy then get him to run for the nomination and work to get him chosen. The fact that he isn't running should tell you something, either he doesn't want the job or doesn't think he can do it.

Look, my point is this. These are the guys who have stepped up to the plate and given it their best shot. They've done the hard work of campaigning. If people really think there are better candidates out there, then get them to run. Tell them to step up and take a shot. I've been on FR a long time and I have noticed that there are a lot of people who like to bitch and whine about how terrible our candidates are, but offer very little in the way of practical alternatives, either getting better people to run or running themselves. Some, a very few, have done so and they deserve credit for that. But by and large no one wants to step into the breach themselves and do it when it's easier to be a sideliner and piss and moan about how bad others are, even though they are the ones who have had the balls to step up.

Many factors affect the results of primary process. Most of those will cease at the convention. All the candidates will have a chance to present their aspiration and ideas, in speeches or behind the scene persuations. There will no more attack ads I hope. No more sound bites and empty rhetoric. And I really believe all delegates there sacrificing time and money will all want to do the right thing. With the grace from God through our prayers, all things will end up to work for His glory. I have no doubt nor fear.

I have no desire to insult you. I hope you are right. I am ‘all in’ for Newt myself, but at this point has little hope for the nomination. The convention will be domainated by establishment Republicans and social conservative, the two groups that are blocking Newt right now. Too bad, he really is our best hope. It is funny how our opposition knows it, but we can’t figure it out.

**

It’s not funny — it’s PATHETIC, and INFURIATING.

What do people think Newt is going to do? Impose the THREE MARRIAGE rule on everyone?? It’s SO ridiculous!!!

A nation with a 50% divorce rate somehow just can’t live with a man who, yes, has been married thrice, but yet is now happily married for the past 11 years, has converted to be a Catholic of all things ...it makes NO sense. He’s the ONLY man with a STELLAR record ...what is UP with our stupid country?????? arrrgh, I just want to scream sometimes.

I can’t get over everyone’s judgementalism when it comes to Newt.

And as far as saying that no one who worked with him supports him ...it’s because no one who worked with him EVER wanted to get up off their asses and WORK, or change the status quo!!

Our country stands here, with a brilliant man in front of us, PROVEN leadership ability, PROVEN success, and yet we dicker and just have to “wonder” about him ...

I’m beyond the stupidity of many of my fellow Americans, but MOST OF ALL, the stupidity of my fellow Republicans.

I’m ready for a third COMMON SENSE party.

Keep shouting that from the roof tops. Hope it helps. I can’t for the life of me figure this out either. Why are people so affected by silly negative advertising. It is beyond frustrating. I am with you.
