At least 10 people were killed, including a 6-year-old girl, in shootings over the weekend in Chicago.
The slain were among at least 49 people wounded in shootings from 5 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, according to information compiled by the Chicago Tribune.
Two teenagers were expected to appear in bond court today in the slaying of Aliyah Shell, as she sat with her mother, sister and a male about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on the front porch of her home in the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue. Aliyah was killed when a pickup truck pulled up in front of the house and someone fired multiple shots out of the window, hitting her, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs.
Juan Barraza, 18, and a 16-year-old boy charged as an adult who police would not name, have been charged with murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm in the slaying of Aliyah Shell. Both teens are said to be affiliated with the Latin Kings street gang, police said.
Of the shootings over the weekend, 35 happened between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 4:20 a.m. Sunday, most on the South and Southwest sides. In addition to Aliyah Shell, nine people, most of them men in the 20s and 30s, died following shootings from Friday evening through Monday morning:

The city is a war zone and the good guys are not legally allowed to carry guns to defend themselves and their families.

Just think how extensive the carnage would be if the Organizer-in-Chief, Baraqa Obama, had not successfully organized the Chicago community. There’d be dead people all over if that place had stayed as disorganized as it was when he first showed up.
