The saddest thing is that these young girls might think that sterilization is what they want at age 20. A few years down the road, their hearts will break knowing that they’ll never know what it’s like to have children.
What you said! That’s what’s been on my mind all day, allowing an 18-22 year old to make that kind of decision, no parental approval, probably little to no counseling, and what counseling there is would be promoting the decision. It truly makes me physically ill.
Maybe Shitkowski should counsel a woman who regrets her earlier abortion decision, you know, just to see the other side of the argument. I cannot believe the absolute ignorance and tunnel vision and utter selfishness of people promoting this. Can you imagine a girl who decided at 20 to become sterilized and then matures into a woman who at 30 wants a family? Makes my blood run cold.
