Shopping cart victim says she wishes boys who injured her 'well'

A Manhattan charity worker who was nearly killed by a shopping cart pushed over a garage railing by teenage punks in October spoke publicly for the first time today -- expressing compassion for the pranksters who dropped the cart on her head.

Marion Hedges, during a walk outside her Upper East Side apartment, said she hasn’t received an apology from the evil-doers.

“I haven’t heard from them, but I wish them well,” Hedges said. “I do, because I feel very sorry for them.”

“I don’t know that my son would do something like that or that his friends would do something like that. But there were a lot of things in their lives to bring them to that. A shopping mall is not a place for kids to hang out.”

“When 26-year-old Biehl drove a friend home to the township of Guguletu, outside Cape Town, on August 25, 1993, a black mob pelted her car with stones and smashed its windows while shouting racial epithets. Four of Biehl’s murderers were convicted for her killing; however, in 1998, all were pardoned by South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Biehl’s family supported release of the killers, and her father shook the murderers’ hands, stating that

“ The most important vehicle of reconciliation is open and honest dialogue...we are here to reconcile a human life which was taken without an opportunity for dialogue. When we are finished with this process we must move forward with linked arms.[1]”

This account omits the fact that the thugs were unrepentant and jeering at their trial. After serving only 5 years they were reportedly greeted by Amys parents, invited over for dinner, and given money and jobs by the parents of the daughter they murdered!

Such is the groveling with todays racists”liberals” involving blacks, even those who have grievously harmed them or their families.

MLK said to judge blacks by the content of their character not by the color of their skin yet todays “liberals” can only see the color of their skin and ignore the content of their character.

I bet this woman in NY would not be so forgiving if the thugs that gravely injured her were white racist instead of black racists.

Where has she been? Thats where all the teens hang out. Hanging at the mall does not make you want to throw a shopping cart at someone. She should save her sympathy for the next victims of these little monsters who will surely need it.
