What is all the hubbub about rail guns? Hitler had those huge guns on rails back in the 40s... The mounting of siege ordnance on railcars dates back to the U.S. Civil War, [War for Northern Dominance] at least:

I always thought those pieces were funny looking, so large around for the bore size. Was the metal brittle?
