Suspected French shooter wanted to avenge Palestinian children

ELITE French police were in a standoff with a gunman after launching a pre-dawn raid in the southern town of Toulouse, seeking the killer who shot dead three children and a rabbi at a Jewish school.

Two officers were wounded as the police specials weapons squad cornered the 24-year-old suspect - a French national claiming links to al Qaeda - in a house, a source told AFP.

..Gueant said during a press conference near the scene of the siege that the suspected gunman was an Islamic extremist.

"This person has made trips to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the past ... and says he belongs to al Qaeda and says he wanted to avenge Palestinian children and to attack the French army," Gueant said.

An official said the man had been in the sights of French authorities since the first two attacks on French paratroopers last week, AFP reported.

"He was in the DCRI's sights, as were others, after the first two attacks," the official said, referring to France's domestic intelligence service.

Local television station BFM-TV reported that the raid was carried out shortly after 3:00am local time, also adding that the suspect was believed to be linked to a French Islamist group known as Forsane Alizza. The group's website carries the slogan "Knights of Pride."

Now that the Islamic terrorist angle is apparent, I wonder how many days it will take for this story to completely vanish from the news.

Anyone want to make a guess?

Travel to Pakistan in one’s twenties does not bode well for a young man. Look what happened to B. Obama.

Won't matter. In France, it's major news that it's an Algerian.

Early reports were blaming "right wing neo-nazis" in an attempt to blame it on Marine Le Pen and the Front National; this would have shifted votes to the Socialists.

But with this news, just the opposite will happen.

Most ordinary French despise the Algerians and other moslems in their midst.

The American media was pushing this as a possible right wing race murder.
Like to see how the filthy media squirm and backtrack on this one.

here were reports in France that police were looking for three former soldiers of the logistics regiment sacked for “neo-Nazi” activities. The men were all ejected from the army in 2008 after a photograph emerged of them making Nazi salutes in front of a swastika.

turns out these ass maggots were not involved. Media jumped to a quick conclusion.
It was a muzzy on a sick twisted jihad a religious crime committed in the name of allah,

Nothing to see here.

This has nothing to do with the radical teachings of Islam.

Just another isolated incident.

Move along please.

First reports from France specifically said it was NOT being treated as terror related.

Why would it be terror related when performed by a member of the “Religion of Love”?

Unfortunately, the usual suspects. The shooter won’t see more than 12 years in prison - the Europeans think that’s sufficient a punishment for murder.
