VIDEO: Gingrich campaigns with Etch-A-Sketch (Rick follows)

Newt Gingrich is joining team Obama by mocking Mitt Romney advisor Eric Fehrnstrom's "Etch-A-Sketch" comments today.

Asked about how Romney would handle his pivot from primary to general election, Fehrnstrom said, “Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes." Fehrnstrom said on CNN, "It’s almost like an Etch-A-Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and restart all of over again."

After highlighting Mitt Romney's inconsistancy on the issues, Gingrich handed the Etch-A-Sketch to a child in the audience and said, "Here you go, you can now be a presidential candidate."

Obama's SuperPAC has already put up a campaign ad featuring Mitt Romney's "Etch-A-Sketch" which is posted below.

Rick should be thanking Newt for all the ideas Newt gives him.

Romney is saying the right things, but does he believe them?

******************
Bill, you’re right on point. I was going to post the following as a separate thread- but given your comment, I post it here.

In this ad, Romney is asked to defend his position that he will cut federal funds for Planned Parenthood. He can’t- because he has “crammed” conservatism as if preparing for an exam, but he doesn’t understand it.

So, when pressed, he reacts flippantly. And, he comes across as detached, elite and a person of privilege-—(most likely because he is).

In any event, he kills conservatism, because he doesn’t know it- and doesn’t believe in it. To him, it’s just a means to an end.

No. Santorum should have the humility to withdraw and get behind his mentor, his intellectual superior, the national treasure, known as Newt. Seems to me that’s what a real saint would do.

Oh, my—you’re tough. Wouldn’t want to get on your bad side. -:)

I can’t believe you never had an etch-a-sketch! First gift I gave all the young-uns. By rotating the knobs, lines appear on the screen and form whatever images come to the child’s imagination. Then, when the child is done, or just wants to start over— s/he gives the screen several shakes— and everything disappears.

Too bad we just couldn’t shake Mitt and Rick. -:)

Oh, my—you’re tough.

Not really. I'm just in a very bad mood today. Feeling the inevitability factor closing in...

Thanks for the etch a sketch info... :)

What inevitability? There’s nothing inevitable so long as Newt draws breathe. -:)

The 2nd campaign starts in June. Keep the faith.

You're absolutely right... absolutely. And thanks.

Keep the faith Vin. Be gone awhile. Need to get caught up at school, and give Santorum supporters time to realize he has no chance to beat Romney and that we need to prepare for a battle royale convention (and beyond).
