Thanks. I always wondered how come ambush didn’t happen more often in situations like this.
As I understand it, during the standoff today, the shooter's brother was rounded up, and we may not know how many more. The shooter did indicate that this was just the start of something bigger, which may just be posturing, but IMHO it's still in the best interests of the French to take him alive and interrogate the hell out of him.
Keep in mind that while France has something akin to our miranda warning, somebody arrested for terror charges does not get to see a lawyer until their 72nd hour in custody. If this guy is part of a larger movement, they could get him to spill quite a bit in that timeframe.
