Chrysler's "Driving America" logo = Obama logo

Briefly noticed a small "Driving America" logo in the upper right hand corner of my TV last night during a Chrysler ad and shook my head in dismay.

The new Dart is built in the United States. They are hiring over 1,000 people for the plant.

You guys really need to stop drinking the kool-aid.

DRIVING AMERICA

(INTO THE GROUND)

That’s what ought to be there under ANY Obama logo.

Der Volkswagon! (the people’s car)

A National Socialist ‘promise’ was a car for every German. The government actually withheld the worker’s funds prior to delivery (and used the funds to finance the war effort) with the idea that you would ‘own’ the car you received.

That was my first thought when I saw it as well . Capt America but Capt. America is a cartoon character & is pro freedom not a totalitarian dictator wannabe like the current junta.

The TRUTH is that what was once Chrysler is an ITALIAN Company FIAT. Owned by and directed by Italians, not Americans.

Also funded by American taxpayer dollars to support a corrupt Union and adminstration.

F what is left of the UAW, and F Barack Hussien Obama.

It's a very nice adaptation of the Italian design, too. It'll be interesting to see if it's well-built. I agree, too, that we cannot forever impugn circles with red, white, and blue in them.

Yes, they still build some cars in the US. So does Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, and the average US parts content may turn out to be higher in the latter.

And since Chrysler is owned by Fiat, I don't see the difference, from a "Buy American" point of view, between buying one or another.

You guys really need to stop drinking the kool-aid.

Too bad you couldn't discuss this without hurling insults. Maybe you need to get off of the Hopium.i

That's OK. Mopar stopped existing for me when they stopped the '68-70 Charger-Roadrunner and '70-74 Challenger and Barracuda.

On top of that, the K car became their savior, wth? I had one as a rental while my car was repaired due to an accident. By 3,500 miles ( I got the car new), the CV joints were already clunking. What a pile of junk and its looks, uninspired.

I don't care that they brought back the Hemi. What do race cars run? Four valved pentroof combustion chambers.

The world engine seems to be good. I know and talk to many Mopar mechanics that say they don’t see issues with them. That engine is a shared design among Chrysler and others I can’t recall right now. The Dart hits 40pmg according to numbers put out by the company. An official rating is not out yet. Waiting patiently for the reviews and I’m hoping my Concorde holds out until the second year run (2014). I’ll be getting an R/T if the mpg is good. The design is actually based on an Alpha Romeo, has the charger rear lights and the dodge front.

The LH cars were good, they came after those horrible daze. I had a 1994 LHS that hit 220,000 and would have gone more. A 2007 that hit 190,000 before I bought my 2004 Concorde. Great cars, the 3.5l V6 is a killer engine and by 1996 they fixed the tranny issues.
