I am going to take my own advice and not comment further on this issue until the investigation is complete. I have no idea what actually occurred but I do know that I can't trust the media to accurately report on the incident. I don't want to be one of Obama's useful idiots.

You’ll be surprised to know, since I can tell that you have not read my posts, that I am not a “zealot.” My only firm stance has been that Zimmerman should never have gotten out of his truck. I have not proclaimed him guilty or innocent. And I have specifically avoided speculation, because we don’t have all of the facts.

I actually meant the part about not knowing where he was and needing to get out to look at a street sign. That is usually tacked on in media reports.

There are no witnesses who saw Zimmerman straddling Martin while Martin was alive. The irresponsible Anderson Cooper interview of the two non-witnesses began with this question: “What was the first thing you saw?”
The answer was “I heard a shot and ran to the window...”
I’ve heard enough. By their own words, they saw nothing leading up to the shooting. By their own words, they are not witnesses.
Yet it was billed as “witnesses say it was not self-defense!”
Sickening. And utterly irresponsible of Cooper to even air it.
