Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has a message for supporters of Mitt Romney: go away.

In an email to POLITICO this afternoon, Robinson admitted that the site routinely blocks Romney supporters from posting -- and offered no apologies for the practice:

"Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency."

So, who do YOU support? Or are you the only one to ask the questions?

I support Newt, as does our esteemed Founder.

If you support Romney, you are no conservative, and you've got no business being on a true conservative website.

I wasn’t aware Free Republic was into ethnic cleansing for political purity.

You support Newt, you say. What about his public service announcements about the crisis of Global Warming? I believe those were with Pelosi. Sponsored by Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Change. Supporting cleaner energy. He now says it was a mistake. So I presume you forgive him for that?

Romney changed his stance on abortion. Rather than praise him as a convert, you convict him for his former view. How can you be sure Newt won’t go for the Globaloney and Green energy crap?

Romneycare was created with extensive help from the Heritage Foundation. Not exactly a bastion of Liberalism. And Newt supported individual mandates before he didn’t support them.

Is Romney perfect? No. But none of the others are either. Its just a matter of how much in each candidate you’re willing to overlook.

If Free Republic chooses to block me, so be it.
