The Law: As the Supreme Court hears oral arguments on the constitutionality of ObamaCare, the former House speaker says its purpose is to guarantee our inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Say what?
Never mind that the Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence, whose meaning Pelosi has horribly mangled, said we were endowed by our Creator, not Congress, with those rights.
ObamaCare respects neither those rights nor the freedom of religion and limitations on government power enshrined in that other document disrespected by the Obama administration — the U.S. Constitution.
Yet Pelosi insists ObamaCare is necessary to fulfill and protect our inalienable rights.
"That is exactly what the Affordable Care Act helps to guarantee — a healthier life, the liberty to pursue happiness free of the constraints that lack of health care might provide to the family," she said on the floor of the House, speaking to celebrate the second anniversary of the act's passage.
First, she fails to realize that the Founding Fathers wrote both documents in a fledgling country whose residents had fled the same type of religious persecution embodied in the imposition of ObamaCare's contraceptive mandate on religious institutions — despite promises to respect freedom of religion and religious conscience.
Liberty is not what ObamaCare is about. It forces us to buy a product — health insurance — simply as a consequence of being an American.

I heard that Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the Democrats are very excited about Obama and his new 5 year plan. Supposedly they are convinced it will ignite the economy enough to ensure that each family will get an extra two rolls of toilet paper AND 200 grams of meat EVERY QUARTER!!!!
