Batman pulled over by police in Montgomery County (Maryland)
Baltimore Sun ^ | March 23, 2012 | Justin Fenton

In the movies, Gotham City police required a giant spotlight to find Batman.

Montgomery County police didn't have to go quite so far, finding him cruising around in a Lamborghini Wednesday in Silver Spring and pulling the unidentified man over for not having proper tags. The bizarre picture was posted to the department's official Twitter page today, followed by a note clarifying that the "Batmobile" wasn't towed.

Well, I’m a Marvel guy, but I always try to give the Dark Knight Detective props. After all, he’s not an illegal alien like Superman.

I was just in that area last week. Didn’t see Batman, though.

According to the best available primary references, including Superman #53, the Kents discovered the infant Kal-El after his space-ship landed and was destroyed. The Kents took him to a home for foundlings, and they later legally adopted him from that home. He is as much a legal citizen as any other alien by birth adopted from outside the United States, whether from Russia, from one of the Stans, or from China. He's just not a natural born citizen, so he would not have been eligible for the White House back when the Constitution was followed.

That he did, Captain. He learned enough English to renounce his US citizenship last year. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2712414/posts

But I’ll tell you what, the “Man of Steel” ain’t got nothin’, and I do mean nothin’, on any Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine. Kryptonite don’t mean squat to them.

Thank you for your service!

He’s not a US citizen anymore to the best of my knowledge.

The reboot in the 1980s John Byrne Man of Steel comic book made Kal-El a test tube baby that wasn’t actually born into he landed on Earth. He wanted to portray Krypton as cold and emotionally sterile, therefore reproduction had become a technological process. Although that dovetailed with the desire to make Superman a natural-born citizen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_of_Steel_%28comics%29

Kal-El was not an infant sent from Krypton to Earth; rather, his fetus was placed in a “birthing matrix” equipped with a rocket engine and Jor-El’s experimental warp drive, with Kal-El gestating during the trip to Earth; once the rocket landed, Kal-El was fully “born” on Earth. This also made him “born” an American, a plot point that would be used in Armageddon 2001, a DC Comics storyline which explored possible futures, one of which featured Superman becoming President of the United States.[2]
