This brings me back to my question of where was this “7-11”. The nearest one appears to be 2+ miles from the Retreat at Twin Lakes development. There is a convenience store, Upsala grocery, at about half the distance, but it is awkward to get to. Plus it was raining, according to the various reports. I’m just trying to picture the whole thing.
The timing is also a problem. The shooting is reported to have occurred shortly after 7 PM. Martin is reported to have been going out for “Skittles” for someone (brother, half-brother?) during half time of the NBA All-Star game. The problem is that the game TV show started at 7 PM. Another thing is that in some reports the community is described as “gated”. Was Marin staying in the “gated” community or was he passing thru? What is the route between his dad's girlfriends house (where he was supposed to be staying and watching the game) and the 7-11 and the other (inconvenient) Convenience Store. Was he lost and just wandering around in the Retreat Development?
