yes, a Grand Jury indictment should be a slam dunk.
Which makes it a travesty THIS guy is walking free and Zimmerman is going to have to face a grand jury...and will probably be indicted.
This guy will likely be back before a grand jury, after they get enough evidence for an indictment. There does need to be a discreet political inquiry brought as to why this was boffo.
And at this point it is actually to his advantage that Zimmerman be indicted. Things are going to get “progressively” worse for him until he is legally cleared in a jury trial. He is quickly turning into a liberal lynch victim.
His nightmare scenario is if the Just Us Department decides to persecute him with vague hate crimes laws that needs little or no evidence and can result in insanely harsh punishments.
Given what is publicly known about the case, with witness testimony and forensic evidence backing acquittal, if they try the hate crimes routine on him the vast majority of federal judges will say b.s., and throw it out.
Zimmerman could get a lot of help politically though, once it is clear that he acted in self defense, if local conservatives and gun organizations beat the drum that this just shows how Democrats favor blacks over Hispanics.
This would freak out the Democrat political handlers, who would tell all involved to drop it before it hurt their party in the elections.
