I think this is going to give Romney the win. Freepers already feel this way about Obama and it’s over the top for the rest of the country.

It’s like Rush said about Sandra Fluke. A lot of us were thinking the same thing when she demanded that the Catholic Church pay for her promiscuity, but Rush said it out loud and he was over the top with some of his comments (e.g. we needed to see videos). Santorum is also over the top in much the same way as Rush. It’s not going to sit well.

Dangerous presidential policies that are shaking our country and it’s foundations to the core..require bold counter moves.

This ad is a good start. Rick is stepping out of the box and rightfully so.

I don’t want to hear a professor professor talk about “big” ideas or give a history lecture on what is “fundamentally” wrong with something.

I don’t want to hear about how much business experience one has and that he “saved the Olympics” from the stuttering “I’ll do or say anything to get elected” Opportunist.

And I don’t want to have to hear any longer about why we are war mongers from the crazy uncle.

Rick Santorum is the guy to take it to Obama.

“I don’t think it helps Santorum.”

I really didn’t like it either, it doesn’t seem to “match” with Santorum’s image. (And I sent him money, so I’m a bona fide supporter!)

I would have liked something that showed actual images of the problems we are having today. The gas pump guy IS good, but it could have had shots of the skyrocketing food prices, etc.

I’m not afraid of Obama because I think he is a monster from a horror movie, I’m afraid of him because he’s a radical left-wing fascist and I don’t think this video gets that point across.

At least it tells me that Santorum isn’t afraid to go after Obama or imply that Obama is a Muslim sympathizer. We need someone that will hit Obama hard.

Maybe . . . maybe not. It impressed me and I'm not too keen on Santorum. Remember, we're not trying to attract Democrat votes. Of course, they will hate it.

Someone re-posted the video and now you can read all the unhappy comments, if that's what you want. As if republicans were getting the votes of these geniuses to begin with.

It might be just over the top enough to draw a lot of attention to Santorum. That ain’t all bad in politics.

It picks the target, freezes it, personalizes it, ridicules,...

That single word, “Obamaville” can now be followed by many many sound bites. That’s how the “all-important” center thinks.

examples:

where gun sales are through the roof.
toilet paper holds its value better than the dollar,
but contraception is free. (let the masses eat that!)...

But, but, but, but, but, I thought Lil Ricky was too weak-kneed, to timid to take it to Obama. I thought only the Great and Strong Hero Newt was capable of that. I could have sworn that the FRingrichers demonstrated how much of a sissy RINO that Lil Ricky is.

Surely this video was not produced by Sissy Ricky’s crowd.

Surely this video was really produced by Manly Big and Strong Newt but Newt made it look like it came from Santorum because . . .

well

just because, I guess.

Let me see if I get this straight.

Up to now Big Old Newt is the guy who takes it right into Obama’s face while Ricky whines and moans and cries and that’s why FReepers should vote for Newt and Not Rick.

And now, when Rick produces a strong Obama-bashing video

well
it’s
too
strong
and
it
will
hurt
him

So FReepers should vote for Newt because Santorum takes it to Obama
too
hard??????

Is that about right?

I don’t think it helps Santorum. I’m open to a Santorum nomination, but it hit me wrong. Imagery is WAY too suggestive/negative at this point. (Okay, the dude with th gas pump to his head was funny).

And the "Daisy" add back in the Goldwater days was ok?

Look I am no fan or Rick's at this point. But the point is the B@ll-less EGOP should be running this add, not him.

This is not a fictional town in 2 years, it is here now.

It is hard hitting, the drones in Amerika need to wake up, maybe in their anger towards this it will sink in.

Yes the Gas Pump is way funny, I can see this picture with Obamaville under it taped to gas pumps as an affective way of waking the Zombies in Amerika.

It’s Not a great video in fact rather forgettable. Not sure what the hubbub is about pro or con with it. Faithful will fawn over it, leftists scream about it and the rest will yawn over it.

I do think its too over the top to sway anyone who doesn’t already have a set opinion about Obama, good or bad.

No. Rick is not focused on the message. He could have made a much better video. As I said, I thought the video is funny, but it doesn't help Rick anymore than Rush's calling Sandra Fluke a slut. Rush could have made his point without the name calling. Rick could have made his point too and still brought the fight to Obama. There's nothing in the video to tell us how Rick is going to help solve the problems we are facing.

The left is going to go after the Rick big time and we are going to get stuck with mealy mouth Romney.

Here’s the link to the CNN blog on the video that has comments as well:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03/24/santorum-video-obamaville-is-a-house-of-horrors/comment-page-2/#comments

I think I detect a trend.../sarc

“I’m not an Obama supporter (or voter), but this Santorum (or Republican) thing just made me one.”

Ah, yes, the “moral” high ground. Liberal umbrage at reality.

Yeah, right.

If Newt had made this video he would be praised for it by the same people trashing it now. Perhaps not by you, but by most of those trashing it now.

If that doesn’t apply to you, great.

But about 99% of the criticism by conservatives of this video would evaporate if it had been made by Newt. Then it would be strong and forceful and “taking it to Obama.”

That’s my point. Double-standards are not limited to Lefists. FRingrichers have them too.
