Calling out self-censorship on the right
American Thinker ^ | March 25, 2012 | Thomas Lifson

Posted on 03/25/2012 4:41:39 PM PDT by James Thomas

An insidious form of self-censorship has gripped not only the mainstream media but most of the conservative media as well. All Americans who believe in the quest for the truth should be concerned that a rigid taboo is being enforced to prevent the discussion of serious evidence that the President of the United States has presented documents that were constructed on a computer as his genuine birth certificate.

The chorus is finally, slowly getting louder. The pressure must be exerted on elected officials.

Pubbie Congress-critters are:

a) afraid of being called racists if they pursue the question; or,

b) complicit in the fraud.

Either way, they need to be replaced.

Oh, another COB article. I thought this was about conservative media censoring itself in general. “The pressure” on the COB issue is a distraction that obama welcomes.

By ridiculing people who have tried to bring this to light, they have silenced the opposition.

“Birther” a name now synonymous with deranged nut case is slapped on anyone questioning Obama’s elgibility. The “birther” epithet is the political equivalent of a scarlet letter. Once labeled a birther, that person will be shunned and mocked into obscurity.

Sorry about the rant but we are letting people ridicule us out of defending the Constitution. Doesn’t get much worse.

Then how about this tack: Don't care where he was born, just publish all his history and records that hide his past. Who is he, what has he done, accomplished, when and where?

Other than the MSM approved chronicle of his blessed life, no on knows squat about him. It is all made up or hidden.

Lest anyone forget, William F. Buckley did not hesitate to call out anti-Semites on the right, at a time when it was a taboo subject.

This is so sad. Buckley is the perfect example of political correctness telling the big lie. The author is very naive.

- The fruits of Feminism: Angry fathers, bitter mothers, fat kids and political correctness.
- Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms.
- We live in this fog of political correctness, where everything is perpetual deception. - John Hagee

Most Americans are now in denial. No one wants to admit that the best educated and most technically sophisticated people of the most scientifically advanced country in the world were duped by a cheap Chicago hustler.

Speak for yourself.

I was never duped.

I can’t tell you how bad I felt the night of the election Nov 2008 when I saw him on the telly in Grant Park.

I was physically sick.

What bothers me is precedent. Now even ones on our side concerned that our side might be touting individuals for prez that also may not be natural born are being tarred with the ‘birther!-must-be-crazy’ brush.

We have every right to ask the questions and for our Constitution to be followed...on either side of the aisle.

True but the press is our biggest obstacle.Though I don't get the whole talking head thing. They're just people with an opinion, every one has one yada yada. Anyway, they put it out there that the birthers are nuts and the whole world goes along.

I'm serious, I don't get it. Our entire government is at stake and we let a few people dictate what we can or cannot discuss.

To: Kenny; All

” - - - the press is our biggest obstacle.”

Part of our “obstacle” is of our own making.

If people have power over us only to the extent that we give them the power to do so, then taking that power away from them reduces the power they will have over us in the future.

For example, we give various media outlets the name “Mainstream” Media. We have then given the media the power to speak to us as if they were the voice of Mainstream America.

What is “Mainstream” about a bunch of Ivy-League Journalists who were taught by Socialist Professors educated in Europe?

Why not just call ‘em as you see ‘em?

To start things off, I call ‘em the LAM, or Liberal Agenda Media.

What say all of you?

Right you are Kenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you and I were in grade school we knew how to put the school yard bullies in their places.

I have always found that a good offense is a GREAT defense. (A concept that very few RINOs publicly support).

BTW, what is your name for the media?
