The reason Newt is not doing better, is because the majority in this party are either ignorant, or they are so fixated in singular social issues, they cannot or will not take the time to understand exactly what Newt will do to fix this mess. 2/3rds of them have no clue who or what Newt is. They have formed their opinion from the 6 O'clock news, or what they hear other people tell them.
They have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, and they are blaming every body but themselves for the cause.
