CNN's Howard Kurtz was astonished that MSNBC has allowed Al Sharpton to be both an activist and a news anchor in covering the Trayvon Martin shooting. Near the beginning of his 11 a.m. Sunday show Reliable Sources, Kurtz maintained that Sharpton should have had to choose between activism and journalism in that case.
Kurtz asked "how on earth can Al Sharpton go there, and be an activist and stand with the parents and he asked people to contribute money and he went to the Justice Department with the parents of Trayvon Martin....And then he does his show and then he speaks at the rally again?" You had to figure that our “elite” would get worried that their brand is being reduced, maybe now the conservative step and fetchits like Hannity will stop sounding like a pale imitation of Sharpton.

The only difference between Sharpton and the rest of the MSM is that he stepped outside his office to do his advocating. The rest continue to do it at their keyboard or in the TV studio.

Al Sharpton told Bill O’Reilly tonight that he’s seen the non-existent tape that purportedly shows Tea Party Protesters calling Black Caucus Members the n-word. Of course there is no tape. Sharpton is lying.
