If Newt wants Romney (ridiculous on its face), why then wouldn’t he withdraw, endorse him, give his delegates to Mitt, and campaign for him?
Instead, for the past month, Newt’s only ads attack Mitt- and today again he defended Rick (re: Rick’s temper tantrum)- citing the pressure of the campaign.

That is why Newt is staying in. To insure that Romney gets 1144 delegates.
He never meant to stay in to the convention. See today, he says he is staying in until Romney gets 1144. Newt knows he won’t get the nomination at a brokered convention.

God told me to vote for Newt Gingrich. How about that for an endorsement.

Hey TBF— no worries— He needed Friend Sarah to campaign with him- It was in her interest; it doesn’t help her for the Gop-e to get a stronger grip on the party. But,didn’t know she made phone calls- happy to hear it.

Gingrich has become so insignificant he can do whatever he pleases now. Newt is not insignificant if he insures Romney a win in the winner take all Primary states. He then becomes a Romney supporter, pure and simple, and by proxy an Obama supporter, because Romney can not win, not even if the election is honest which it won't be.

Gee whiz, Sarah making calls in Louisiana for Newt was a bust. This is not something to crow about.

No I am not. It is true. You aren’t Speaker of the House and dallying with the office help and considered classy.
There are other things I won’t mention because it isn’t worth bothering.

I re-read my post, per your request. Newt made 2 statements- (1) he’s not withdrawing; (2) he’s cheerful about going forward.
Your post suggested that these statements are akin to Rick’s gaffes. Although I’m sure Newt has probably made some gaffes, I fail to see where these 2 statements might fall into that category.

Santorum hasn’t needed any help lately in giving people reasons to bash him.

Newt was able to help Mitt squeak by Santorum in primaries like Ohio and Michigan—but he has really hit the skids lately and his showing in Louisiana was a horrible embarrassment that if not for his over-inflated ego he would have taken his lumps like a man and then backed the last conservative with a chance of stopping Romney.
Anyhoo, I don't think Gingrich can harm anyone now—he is too busy fighting the Nut for last place.

I really want to hear what Newt has to say about BO’s comments in Russia.
To: VinL
Can Newt win another state in the schedule? If so, Game on!
If not, he’s helping Mitt, but probably doesn’t see it. His vision is broad and far-reaching. A little detail or two might escape him.
