I remember reading something, some time ago, about how one of the original light bulbs is still burning, somewhere. Not sure if it’s true, though.

It's in a fire station in Palo Alto CA.

Now if it had burned all this time, THAT would be something.

Yep. And the old bulbs were more safe. I've had two of those Chi-com made energy efficient bulbs burst into flame so far. If I hadn't been home when it happened, I would have lost the entire house.

There was an article a year or so ago about a bulb that had been burning for 100 years or so. It was in a warehouse, I think. Now that is impressive.

We have one of those. It came from hubbys great aunts front porch, and stayed lit 24/7, never turned off. We don't use it, but it is still good. This is from the 1920's era.

What's it worth? nada, just curiosity.

THAT’s primarily why I now have (and growing the supply) 100-60w & 250-100w bulbs in usage/storage in my supply-filled basement. None of that gov’t-mandated crap will ever come in here. Never.

There is a bulb in Menlo Park that has been burning for a hundred years. They make sure not to make them that well any more.
