Poor driver, and of course his family. The driver probably experienced sheer terror for a few seconds, but then the lights went out immediately. I pity the truck driver, who also probably peed himself and is probably still having nightmares and depression.

I was once hit broadside on the driver’s side by a taxicab at a city intersection — fortunately, at low enough speed that the only thing hurt was my car door. The look of horror on the cabdriver’s face was almost as bad as feeling my own terror. It took months to get over.
